write like others
Robert's Never blog like me reminds me of how any writer emulates seen or unseen peers. That belief can be held in their peers, their readers, and even the writer themselves.
Robert reading others' writing can influence his own and vice versa. Him reading what others feel the need to write can create a similar need within him. Sharing some of his favorite writers can reveal the likeness between his style and theirs. Differences can also emerge.
Prasatt's Art influences art influences art words it differently:
I’m reminded of Austin Kleon’s call to “steal like an artist”. Creativity lies in being able to combine your influences in new and unique ways — the richer your diet, the larger your creative vocabulary.
Speaking of enlarging your creative vocabulary, how many lessons can you learn from deliberately writing like someone else?
