withstand cultural vacuums

Inspired by Rainmaker's 6/22/2025.

If you're letting your attention get sucked in by cultural vacuums, exercise agency over where you allocate it. Direct your focus toward what you want to realize. Apply filters through which you can reap the most fulfilling rewards for the shortest amount of time and effort. Instead of accounting for everything within a space, account for everything within your space. For example, rejuvenate your internet.

If you're overwhelmed by the abundant particulate nature of media, alter your speed. Can you slow your world down? Narrow down stimuli to enable progression. Employ deeper interactions for more digressions. Can you catch up with the world? Open yourself up to stimuli to enable discovery. Employ shallow interactions for more exploration.

If you hear the constant distraction of vacuum noise, protect your ears with signal or embrace the noise if you haven't yet found signal. Not everyone feels fatigue upon witnessing abundance. What lessons can be learned from those who don't feel that way? Even if you're clueless about your wants, you have options. Engage distractions in hopes of transmuting them into discoveries. Interact with communities that reciprocate meaningfulness with you. Practice quantity to beget quality, reputation, and taste. Although, persistent practice isn't necessarily perfect practice. Neither does performance necessarily inform success.
