unify through conversations
Joe's Surface Area predicts that AI can converge segmentation into a unified conversation across consumer touch points. While that's food for thought, his prior aside stopped me in my tracks:
I listened to the latest episode of John Collison’s Cheeky Pint podcast with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella this week.
It was a cracker across the board. As a brief aside, I find it incredible that the average schmuck like me can listen in to two senior leaders of global technology companies shooting the breeze over a pint. Podcast culture is epic.
Internet culture is epic too. Average schmucks like Joe and I can remix, if not interact with just about anyone. Converse with them over email or on their favorite social media platform. Publish an interview with them on your blog like Human Invariant's An Interview With a YouTube Writer Behind 500M+ Views. Consider "shooting the breeze over a pint" with them on your podcast. The sky is the limit when it comes to how to reach someone.
The more channels and touch points you cultivate, the larger your surface area becomes for community. Executed tastefully, that abundance "has the potential to be a massive convenience factor". No wonder great switchboard operators are in such massive demand. How are you unifying people through conversations across your touch points?
