social media processes

Inspired by Herman's Slow social media.

I jive with "the underlying concept of social media" being to "stay connected with the people you care about." As for "the current form of social media" being "bastardised, and not social at all", email me how people you know (could) use it to "improve relationships" and "foster connection".

Email me how people you know (could) use social media platforms, which turned into "doom-scrolling random content" and "recommendation engines", for "connecting with friends".

Email me how people you know (could) use products not built for them for their security, comfort, and positive immersion.

Email me how people you know (could) synthesize "evil" and "non-evil" social media to scale themselves up toward realizing their dreams.

Say that "the platform should be about:"

Instead of terraforming the platform for those aims, email me how people you know (could) terraform their surroundings within the platform.

Email me how people you know (could) curate, mute, filter, and block their way toward environments designed to their liking.

Social media mimics other inventions in that it's how you use the tool that counts. Reduce your perceived importance of objects for processes. Depend less on any specific external product as your solution to online socialization. Harness your internal focus more to socialize well wherever you roam.
