share information freely
Khem's Old Hacker includes this zinger:
John said something along the lines of:
Information should be freely shared. Always. Otherwise what's the point?
That reminds me of how V made their blog a part of the public domain, as explained in Rebel Against Copyright.
Without a license in place, my blog has been copyrighted ever since I started it. With how much I despise copyright and don't require attribution for my work, it's about time to follow John and V's footsteps. That's why I'm marking my blog with the CC0 1.0 license.
What does that mean for you? Creative Commons' Chooser explains it well:
By marking the work with a CC0 public domain dedication, the creator is giving up their copyright and allowing reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, even for commercial purposes.
CC0: This work has been marked as dedicated to the public domain.
You know what to do.
