Imperfect

repair your web

Inspired by Vidknight's I disagree with the take that the internet is dead.

By virtue of just how many people, places, and projects proliferate throughout the Internet, it remains very much alive. Like, there's so much information that you'll never be aware of being injected into, reassembled within, or siphoned from the Internet with each passing second. The more people complain about "the Internet" or its most popular websites being "dead", the more I remember that people can use or sculpt their Internet in ways that recuperate it instead.

I'd love to witness less divisive conflicts and posturing among the independent web, corporate web, or any other web. Instead, people like you and I can opt for spinning whatever webs that help make our dreams into reality. You can balance picking your platforms with discovering and appreciating their best nooks and crannies. Advocate for your Internet's craftsmen and their artifacts - those that you see imbued with heart and soul or whatever other virtues you prefer - to people you care about that would be even remotely interested in them.

You don't have to settle for behaviors and perspectives that make you feel like you're surrounded by death. You can choose to identify the evident markers of life around you, then persistently reciprocate with them toward an ever better present. That is, if you care enough to repair your web.
