Imperfect

public feedback loops

I agree with this assessment from Prasatt's Five things to break you out of your creative funk:

Austin Kleon's Steal Like an Artist has been out more than 10 years and I still find it as relevant as ever.

Glancing at the book's Wikipedia article reveals valuable lessons:

Kleon presents himself as a young writer and artist emphasizing that creativity is everywhere and is for everyone. In his own words, "You don’t need to be a genius, you just need to be yourself".

Kleon reminds throughout his book that “nothing is original… all creative work builds on what came before.”

Do good work and put it where people can see it: Sharing your work and even your thoughts about what you like help you get good feedback and more ideas.

That last principle feels rather underrated. While sharing and analyzing works can catalyze your growth, how few people engage the practice? How deeply are your peers analyzing your work and thoughts and vice versa? If the right people can't find your contributions to provide feedback on them, where are they? Could you find them through an abundance of spaces or even some of your own creation?
