Imperfect

nothing to something

Inspired by JD's did nothing today either (blog deleted).

This post helped me visualize "doing nothing as a springboard to doing".

This cue sometimes triggers ingrained habits (some of which I want to shed). It also manifests as a conscious thought process for less automatic, yet maintained pastimes.

"I'm not doing anything right now, so let's start doing something" can be a powerful shift, made more powerful with something specific in mind. Motivation, willpower, and momentum: all downstream of starting or even continuing.

Thoughts of starting new streaks or continuing good work can dissipate those of ending inactivity.

Instead of holding promises that external outcomes can break, can I promise myself to try my best?
