maximize multimedia
A reply to Brancaleone's Please write it, do not stream it.
Different media formats possess unique strengths in how they convey information or reach diverse audiences. Let's express gratitude for their abundance and explore unwritten expression.
People of any and all senses enjoying others' creative expression is heartwarming. People with cognitive or sensory disabilities like blindness, deafness, or dyslexia prefer certain types of media they can engage with.
Zooming out, people in general expose different media preferences. Some, like you, prefer reading. Others prefer watching, listening, or being as fully immersed in the moment as possible.
Creatives branching out into different, or better yet multiple forms of media makes information that much more accessible. Not only that, but they may be practicing something new to them as well. It's not as easy as it sounds.
Video production and streaming also requires organizing thoughts into stories and riffing off one another. The old saying, "write like you talk", and the mileage of a good conversation shows parallels between written words and voice.
Video and audio lets audiences discover people, landscapes, and sounds they might never imagine on their own. The more complements their imagination receives, the greater their horizon for creativity becomes.
A creative medium does not necessarily indicate how evergreen a certain expression is. Revisitable streamed content exists like writing that isn't evergreen. Who am I to say whether any particular piece of art is either?
You can read a book or watch a video more than once. If you found it valuable, look between the lines a second time. Enjoy media however many times you see fit.
Different people enjoy the same entertainment in varying ways. Information retention can give way to visceral responses like smiles, laughter, and goosebumps. Valuing or even preferring specific qualities over others is natural.
Consider the boomers yourself by summarizing producers' video ideas into nice blog articles people can read!
P.S.: Why stop at switching when you can keep writing and branch out simultaneously?
