many true voices
In Finding and keeping your voice (post deleted), Robert says:
We might convince ourselves, "This is my true voice." But is that genuine?
Pondering over what constitutes a "true voice" inspired these questions in my mind:
- Where is your true voice true?
- When is it your true voice?
- With whom is it your true voice?
Brainstorming how to answer those made me realize how many different voices I have across many different contexts. Time, setting, audience, and other factors modulate my voice more frequently than I could ever consciously know.
How many different conditional voices do you possess within yourself? How many do you emulate from others? Explore how they transform through and after moments formative, fleeting, or even unbeknownst to you.
