Do creators underestimate the reflection of online AI systems? Visa tweeted about asking Grok to help him find a quote. It quoted a post from one of his many blogs back at him. This wasn't just an isolated incident. Étienne replied with how something similar happened while using Perplexity Pages. Whether such user reflections are prioritized within assistant responses or not, others and I see these as well-deserved victories. Speaking of wins, Alex's reply quote-tweets how Patrick thinks these systems amplify the timeless power of writing:
“Writing works while you sleep, including years after the fact” was true before LLMs but it’s been wild seeing how much more visceral it is getting.
While breakage by AI crawlers should be prevented where necessary, I see their value alongside AI systems in distributing writing. Whether through humans or bots, how can I let my work maximally spread and contribute to growth within and beyond me? How can I amass ever greater probabilities of creative presence?
