iterate above negativity

I appreciate the mission-first proactivity focus that people, ideas, machines' Don’t be a -1 professes. An aside: it reminds me of experiments for brainstorming the most valuable qualities in a potential friend or partner. That said, I think the overall message has some wrinkles that could be ironed out.

What you see isn't always what is there. The traits people seem to exemplify in your eyes might not be present in others' eyes. Upon further scrutiny, you might find their traits peeling off, deriving from unfortunate circumstances, or otherwise changing before you. Everything changes all the time including, but not limited to signs, magnitude, and the definitions of neutrality and extremities themselves. Also, neutral beings may present the dice roll of teaching lessons on consistent free riding or gradually lifting less weight over time.

In the spirit of paradigms like encouragement and inversion, I would like to propose inverting "Don't be a -1." to "Be a +1." However, I think assuming positivity as identity is a setup for failure. Every journey has its obstacles which require careful navigation and repair after any accidents.

An apt alternative could be found in iterating above negativity. Without coupling personal identity to a rigid state (even if it's nuanced), there's free space to apply focus toward neutrality or positivity. While I'm open to other frames deviating from mentioning negativity, the point is that there's a route above it. Iteration can get you to your destination and taking the high road when it's reasonable can get you there faster.

We all have the opportunity to be kinder, whether to ourselves or others around us. If others are down, we can try to help them up within reason. We don't have to settle for being the same forever when adaptation is in our nature.
