inhibition as meditation

Inspired by Robert's Writing as Meditation (post deleted).

How can you make the flow of mindfulness more portable regardless of technique?

Letting go of your wants allows your senses take the lead. Walk without controlled steps, catch a ball without controlled motions, and ride a bike without controlled balance. Try less and let your body move naturally. Become more present using your heightened awareness to absorb your surroundings. Shift your mind to conversation during catch to see how easy catches become. Mimic children breaking into song and dance without thought nor worry.

A single subconscious breath can accomplish what thirty minutes of conscious breathing might not. Focusing on a goal can distract from our understanding.

No matter the kind of meditation, meditate in ways that bring you fully present.
