help fellow readers

Inspired by Sivaji's if nobody reads, what's the point of writing?.

Must you endure the self-imposed extreme that "nobody reads and nobody writes either" when that includes you, a purported reader and writer? If your space reflects this, change your scenery or turn inward. Solve the problems of "nobody" reading anything you write and AI writing not being proofread by focusing on those that read. Give the few people reading your strategy memos or proofreading their AI output your utmost attention. Go write for tribe, not for those who could not care less.

Instead of making documents act more like conversations, treat them as such. Question the text, probe deeper, have a back and forth with the ideas unprompted. Discuss your experience with one or more of these valid subjects: your mind, a rubber duck, another person, an LLM, or anything else. Those that don't want to engage at that level can be interfaced minimally or left out to dry.

If people who will use LLMs to thoroughly understand documents mimic those reading them carefully anyway, follow either or both processes if you suspect resultant success. Take advantage of how few people read relative to those who don't, then make your world that much brighter. On the other hand, if reading deeply somehow doesn't satisfy your needs, then pivot. Other methods of communication or work may suit you better.

Understanding ideas that matter in your field is a value add atop putting forth the fundamental work and discipline. For some, work isn't about getting promoted, being enlightened, or otherwise. It can be a mere mechanism to maximize other parts of their lives like reading deeply anywhere else. Find whom you belong with in whatever space and collaborate with them on said hill.

I agree that those who don't care are bound to stay put. Since you care, fix your problem if you haven't already done so, then help those who solved the same problem or are willing to wholly fix it. If there is nobody else to help, then continue helping yourself.
