get respondents involved
I found this part of Henrik's Substack note enlightening:
- As you can tell, I reached out to a lot of people early on. Whenever someone commented and said something intelligent (which is common on LessWrong) I would reach out and ask if I could get them to read the draft for my next post. I got to know a lot of people this way, which led me to be introduced to other people, and I also got a lot of valuable feedback that helped me fix some of the bigger flaws in my writing.
- How often do you reach out to people about their comments on or responses to your work?
- How often do you ask if they could read the draft for your next unit of work?
- How many more connections, introductions, and instances of valuable feedback can you earn this way?
