Imperfect

engage your community

Inspired by Phil's don't know what to post, just going to post.

I don't know how to build an audience, or engagement, but I enjoy my hobbies and I want to find new projects to explore. I hope the site becomes useful, but how do you tell folks about it? I barely know any fellow adults in my town because I don't like my town. lol

What stops you from finding out how figures with high market reach built their audience? You don't know how engagement works yet, but you can surely find out.

What is the purpose of the website you built? Ask the same question for blog posts or any other creative expression. Find the reason behind the motion.

How do you not like your town if you barely know any of the fellow adults in it? Get to know your townsfolk on a personal, everyday level. Share the hobbies you enjoy with them when it's fitting. You may find their interest or participation in pastimes you already enjoy.

Share compelling reasons to join your platform instead of guessing about reasons to escape others. Terminally online jargon like "dead internet theory" and "doomscrolling" may not appeal to the demographics you're interfacing or looking for.

What stops you from becoming the beacon for your community? Start there.

When in doubt, start with the people.
