Why do people try committing Digital Detox December, let alone with cold turkey or elaborate plans?
Thinking to give up:
- Tricks your mind into thinking it gave up.
- Gives even more attention to what you gave up for so long through constant temptation to give in.
Pondering replacements works better, but delaying them for too long:
- Tricks your mind into thinking it replaced what you don't want.
- Gives even more friction to what you want through constantly increasing standards and guilt from waiting.

Not only should you identify the root cause of being terminally online, but you should face that fundamental fear too. Then, you can healthily increment your way toward a better replacement.
