As Kevin Kelly's 1,000 True Fans shows, understanding how accessible, abundant, and valuable obscure content is relative to popular content defuses fears of the latter crowding out the former. So does preserving as you go, which saves "downloading hundreds of files all at once". So does improving your feed through subscriptions, frontends, switching platforms, and more. If absolutely nothing works, take a break or pivot.

Connecting with thousands that share your taste saves blaming millions who don't for your lack of curation, let alone through weakening buzzwords like "slop".
