Honestly, the more I ship, the more I yearn for mutual connection in addition to that. This trend leans me closer and closer to social media spaces proper.

Their interactive, synchronous nature makes connection seamless through many different routes: comments, replies, quote tweets, retweets, direct messages, chats, mentions, and so much more. Compare that to the local reality of begging for even just one exposed contact method or sent email.

Their high populations and long-term survival make interfacing with serious actors that much easier. I get how much novices and experts alike can learn from each other. That doesn't diminish the stark advantage those that trained for years if not decades have over those who succumbed to much smaller time frames and rep counts.

Less dealing with the growing pains of those hyperfixated on vices like negativity, originality, and overbroad homogeneity. More surrounding myself with trustworthy collaborators that have and continue to cultivate scenius, develop uplifting projects, and play masterful games. Why should I bother halfheartedly LARPing those activities when I can learn how to embody them from the greats?
