Imperfect

continue your run

Inspired by [Redacted]'s I'm Almost Done.

Life's novelty prevents having ever said it all. With ideas being practically infinite, how much you have to say is up to you. That can be more than you know. For example, discussing only not having much more to say can outlive you.

Having posted daily for a handful of months, it's interesting seeing a third of that over a longer duration labeled as "posting so much". Then again, few deliver even just a hundred units within so many disciplines. Most not only fall off the wagon before then, but also cover up their tracks. On the other hand, I look at people who have executed daily for years if not decades. Just how did they make it happen?

One answer is how your standards strongly inform your take on sustainability. Wanting to ship only long-form bangers may impose longer gaps or increased difficulty over shipping whatever you can. Even so, there's merit to rising up to greater and greater challenges. You can find your Goldilocks zone between maximal throughput and maximal difficulty. Yet, where that zone is on the spectrum changes under your nose too.

Speaking of zones: instead of settling for just one for your work, share your work via multiple passive and active means. That bolsters your redundancy, increases how many people can enjoy it, and can even circumvent shadow bans justified or not.

You don't have to treat constraints imposed by others with loneliness and despair. Embrace how voidposting encourages lowering your attachment to outcomes and sharing more of your real self with your world. In that vein, you can prioritize deep connections over shallow views too. Countless views might not yield a single connection, yet the latter can easily outdo the impact of the former.

Survival here is having "continued posting" like survival overall is having continued living. You're having a good run. Continue running for others if you so choose. Most importantly, continue running for yourself.
