anti-goals are goals

Inspired by Joseph's post, I don't set personal goals.

Buddha said all suffering is caused by desire. Like wanting happiness or money, not setting personal goals can be considered a goal in itself.

Sometimes people achieve goals to a different tune than happiness. I wonder how directly attainable emotions like that are.

What if setting more and more non-goals but never feeling satisfied by that abstinence actually leads to more and more suffering?

Better yet, what about reaching the same suffering having lived a life full of goals met and set, despite setting a goal to not to have goals?
